Sunday on the Wharf

We had such a fun Sunday at the Taul's wharf on Dog River. The weather was perfect — not a cloud in the sky and a cool, breezy day (80 degrees or so, which is cold in Mobile). NOTHING beats a beautiful Sunday afternoon, yummy crawfish, cold beer, sweet babies and good, good friends.

We finally got to sport our cute lilly dress (courtesy of her Aunt Anna).
We love Aunt Ashley!

Nonie's daughter, Lillibet, is 6 weeks younger than Calder. They are gonna be the best of friends (whether they want to or not!:)
They were playing footsie. SO cute!
The beautiful Taul girls
Love my sweet friends...

Thanks Nonie and Ben for always planning fun get-togethers and parties! Without your invite, I would have been running errands and cleaning the house yesterday, and Bruner would have worked in the yard...which is NOT as fun!!

Roberts Brothers

Here's a sneak peek of what I've been working on lately...

My biggest marketing client is Roberts Brothers, Inc, which is the largest Real Estate company in South Alabama. With 250 agents, they keep me very busy to say the least! I've been working on a new marketing piece for the company, and we're in the process of finishing up the last few details. I can't wait to show you the finished product — we're going to have a print and digital version so stay tuned.

Here's a picture from our photo shoot last week. Didn't it turn out great? Love the Mobile city skyline in the background — and you can't find a better group of agents!

And I'll end with this video Google produced for us last year to advertise our Mobile site. Google chose Roberts Brothers as one of the three examples for their "Go Mo - Mobilizing Mobile" Campaign. It was a huge campaign and although Mobile was chosen because of the play on words (Mobilizing Mobile, get it?), they came down from Boston to shoot this and I think they really fell in love with our town. Check out the fabulous video they shot...

We were honored to be a part of this! More to come soon...

Wednesday Words of Wisdom

This has always been one of my very favorite verses. So simple but so true. Happy Wednesday everyone!

HomeGoods

When I was Chattanooga, I stopped by HomeGoods and couldn't believe what I found! I just had to share this. We don't have one in Mobile, but I'll definitely make another visit next time I see a HomeGoods near me!
Cute little bench. I would probably paint the legs on this white, but you can't beat the price!
I bought this white sunburst mirror. Still not sure where it's gonna go but I definitely find a home for it!
I also bought this clock. It's so good looking and I could use it as a frame if I wanted to in the future. Wouldn't a big black and white picture of Calder be cute in it too? But for now, we need a clock in a kitchen so I'm leaving it as is...
I left with a full cart, but since the prices were so low, I don't feel guilty at all.
Yes, it is Monday but it's OK! Hope yours is wonderful.

Wednesday Words of Wisdom

I haven't done my "Wednesday Words of Wisdom" posts in forever — but that's about to change since I'm getting back in the swing of things with this baby-brain. I saw this quote on pinterest and just loved it. It actually made me think twice, and instead of quickly repinning it and moving onto the next thing, I sat there and thought myself wow, that is so true. I should DO all of the things on "bucket list". We live life thinking we have all this time to go do the things we really want to do, but who knows what tomorrow brings?

Now I just need to sit down and make my bucket list. And then, of course, I want to start checking those things off. What's on your list? Please share. I'd love to know!

Our first trip to Chattanooga

We went to Chattanooga last weekend for my 10 year high-school reunion. We loved showing Calder where her mama grew up, and it's true, there really is no place like home.
Mom's house looked so purty for the sip and see...
and Calder got her first tutu!
Calder got to meet some of my very favorite people. Here's Margaret Hopping and Jane Henegar. Mrs. Henegar was my Bible teacher at GPS and all of these women have been such a special part of my life...

Calder loved meeting some best friends from high school....
Uncle Harry was in town from Atlanta and came to visit!
It was so fun to see Dad and Calder spend so much time together! Since mom and I both had our GPS reunion weekend festivities, Dad took over at night and was the best babysitter!
Aunt Beverly (see my post here about her fabulous antique shop in Kennebunkport, Maine) was in town for her GPS 50th High School reunion! We met her downtown and went to lunch at River Street Deli...
And we had to take Calder across the walking bridge and show her all of Chattanooga.
Bruner met us after his long run (putting us to shame) but it was fun to have him in town...
We took a family pic before we left for my 10 year reunion party. I don't have any pictures from it, but it was soo fun to catch up with so many old friends...
We had a hard time saying goodbye, but we will be back soon!
