High Gloss

I found this home on one of my favorite blogs, House of Turquoise. This home was featured in High Gloss magazine, and if you've never checked that magazine out, you must do it now! This beautiful, eclectic home belongs to LA-based designer Emily Ruddo of Armonia Decors - and I love her unique blend of East Coast elegance and West Coast style. An inspiring story along with even more great photos await for you at High Gloss.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Bathed in Blue

I love this home featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles and photographed by Mali Azima. I was amazed that it was designed entirely by the homeowner, Elizabeth Elsey, a nurse for over 20 years. Not surprisingly, however, is that she is inspired by all the colors of the beach...especially all spectrums of blue, from the water to the sky. Her style is dressier than mine, but I do love the colors and every room is gorgeous! (Here are some helpful resources...Dining Room Walls: Farrow & Ball Oval Room Blue over Farrow & Ball Light Blue in custom striƩ finish. Trim: Benjamin Moore Bavarian Cream.) Read all about the home and see more beautiful images over here!

Happy Thursday everyone. The weekend is almost here!!

Spring Blues

2 0 1 1    S P R I N G    B L U E S
REVIVAL favorites...

1. turquoise-painted (and kinda jankety) metal barstool
2. ancient "Madonna" figure wearing vestiges of faded blue finery (under glass dome)
3. hand-strung turquoise pebble chandelier
4. that big fat blue metal orb painted like Mother Earth
5. stacks of books with sea, sky, turquoise and cerulean blues - pop a few on your coffee table for a punch of fresh colour!

Love Revival AND these spring blues....

I've got the blues

There is something about the color BLUE that I love. From the soft tones of the sky to the bold hues of the ocean, the color blue is always calming. Next to neutrals, there's no easier color to work with! I hope you enjoy these beautiful blue rooms...

Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven.
