I just love painted wallpaper and I am so inspired by these stenciled walls! After reading this post, and the fact that there is a template to download, I'm thinking about doing this to our small foyer. It intimidates me but I think we can do it!
Check it out here and here and let me know what you think. Happy Labor Day weekend everyone!
I've thought about the same thing in my foyer or laundry...just haven't braved it. Might be a good tone on tone nesting project for you! And yours is so teeny it wouldn't be so overwhelming. I say go for it
You should totally do it! I did mine this past winter and I'm so glad that I did. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
The first picture (of the lady who copied JDC) looks much larger than the one done by Emily.
Words of advice: 1. When doing the outline, use the same color pencil as your paint. I did normal pencil on a pale blue wall with white stencil paint and I had to go over it again a second time to hide the marks.
2. When painting, store your paint in an air tight container. I used a little glass jar and lid. This made it easy to paint when I had free time. Instead of pouring paint into a cup, I just popped the lid off and did a few strokes.
