Our first trip to Chattanooga

We went to Chattanooga last weekend for my 10 year high-school reunion. We loved showing Calder where her mama grew up, and it's true, there really is no place like home.
Mom's house looked so purty for the sip and see...
and Calder got her first tutu!
Calder got to meet some of my very favorite people. Here's Margaret Hopping and Jane Henegar. Mrs. Henegar was my Bible teacher at GPS and all of these women have been such a special part of my life...

Calder loved meeting some best friends from high school....
Uncle Harry was in town from Atlanta and came to visit!
It was so fun to see Dad and Calder spend so much time together! Since mom and I both had our GPS reunion weekend festivities, Dad took over at night and was the best babysitter!
Aunt Beverly (see my post here about her fabulous antique shop in Kennebunkport, Maine) was in town for her GPS 50th High School reunion! We met her downtown and went to lunch at River Street Deli...
And we had to take Calder across the walking bridge and show her all of Chattanooga.
Bruner met us after his long run (putting us to shame) but it was fun to have him in town...
We took a family pic before we left for my 10 year reunion party. I don't have any pictures from it, but it was soo fun to catch up with so many old friends...
We had a hard time saying goodbye, but we will be back soon!

New Windows!

We finally bit the bullet and got new windows! It took us 2+ years, but we're thrilled we no longer have painted shut, cracked windows!:) Our home was under construction all week, so after a few days of dodging glass Calder and I headed to Chattanooga. It was perfect timing because my 10 year high school reunion was last weekend, so we were headed north anyway.

Like I said, IT WAS TIME. See these windows in the back of house, that the lovely home owners before us just decided to spray with paint when painting the home.

Here's our handyman/contractor Robert Shotlander, who has worked with us on many other home projects for the past few years (see my home office post here). He's so talented and patient. PLEASE IGNORE HIS CLASSY BUMPER STICKER. :)
Here's another before shot. It's raining today so I couldn't get the "After" shots.
More to come tomorrow, but here's a sneak peak of our trip to Chattanooga. It was SO much fun to show Calder were mommy is from. There's dad taking Calder on a walk across the walking bridge. I absolutely love Chattanooga, and it was so. good. to. be. home.

Bruner came down on Friday and joined us. Such a wonderful trip. More to come tomorrow...

3 Whole Months!

Yesterday was Calder's 3 month birthday! We got all set up for our 3 month picture with our cute little #3 onesie, and then this happened...

Which became so fun and we laughed a lot. Daddy is so funny, and Calder loves laughing and playing with him when he gets home from work...

And then we had our second bath in a real tub. No more sink baths for us. This was so much more fun, and she loves kicking and playing in the water!

We love and adore you Calder! You bring such unimaginable joy to our lives.
