Our New Guest Bath!

Last week, we updated our little guest bathroom. I can't believe I forgot to take a "before" picture, but let's just say it was AWFUL! We've been meaning to do this for two years, so finally I had Robert Shotlander (my incredible handyman!) help me renovate this little bathroom. We added beadboard and installed a new pedestal, toilet, light fixture and mirror.

I decided to go with Gray Wisp for the walls and Decorator White for the beadboard (both Benjamin Moore). I love the contrast and am so happy with our new bathroom!

Welcome Fall!

I can't tell you HOW happy I am it's Fall! Maybe it's because Fall happens to be my favorite season of the year....or maybe it's because it means we're that much closer to meeting the baby...or maybe it's because this summer was so brutally hot in Mobile. But whatever it is, I'm thrilled FALL is finally here!
Here are some cute fall decorating ideas...

Southern Sanctuary

In this months Atlanta Homes magazine, Designer Jimmy Stanton imbues a country residence with style and soul, creating a retreat that’s equally stimulating and restorative. I love the natural materials and neutral colors in this showhouse, and found myself tearing out the pages of the magazine for future inspiration. Thanks to Pinterest, I no longer have to do that, but I'm having a hard time parting with my binders!
I LOVE this kitchen! Here's what Atlanta Homes had to say about it:

The kitchen is undeniably chic but far from pretentious, created with a hint of Shaker influence in collaboration with Bell Custom Cabinetry. Awash in a light khaki gray, the room’s open shelves provide display space for diverse collections of pottery, glassware and Ball mason jars. Industrial pendant lights, aluminum stools and framed botanicals keep the look relaxed while a slate gray countertop—actually Cambria quartz—adds a little gleam. Jenn-Air appliances available through Guy T. Gunter & Associates.
And finally, isn't this a cute idea for a playroom? The antique European factory illustrations are affixed to the wall with bronze clip hooks. What a great idea!
Happy Monday. Hope this was some good eye-candy for you today...
