Rediscovering a green thumb...

It's officially spring, and that means it's time to get outside and rediscover that long lost green thumb. I love working in the yard and getting my hands dirty. It's therapeutic for me in some weird way. My parents were in town from Chattanooga, so they were watching Calder while we worked outside. Lord knows I need some Vitamin D!

Every year we plant our herb garden — we love cooking with fresh herbs and it just makes everything taste so much better. See last year's post here. So, I decided to tackle it last weekend, and since we actually kept our parsley and rosemary alive from last year (I have no clue how that happened), I only had to replant basil, two kinds of mint (since I have a hard time keeping it alive), onion chives, and oregano.

Bruner was snapping away with the camera. It's hilarious. Ever since we got our new camera with a large lens, he all of sudden loves taking pictures. The zoom is great on the new lens, so you can find Bruner across the entire yard, zooming in like he's the paparazzi!

All I know is I look like Casper the ghost. Someone give this girl some color!

I LOVE this time of year, and it's hard to stay inside and work all day long, especially when there's a blue sky staring back at you. BUT, I've been so busy lately, that's exactly what we do. We love strolling outside, but other than that, you can find us here.

East Bay Clothiers is located in downtown Fairhope, and has lots of fabulous clothing and accessories for men and women! Genie McCown is the owner and she's larger than life and has been such a joy to work with. I'm honored to redesign their website... I mean, they're kinda a big deal and have been featured in Garden & Gun this year! So...if you're in Fairhope, you must stop by EBC and check out their store. Genie has great taste, and the clothes they carry are top of the line!

Remember 1994? Yes! EastBay Clothiers remembers too! That was our birth year. Genie McCown , fresh from London via New York, via Mobile (think Azalea bush) opened the doors where everybody knows your name....(think Cheers). It's been a while since I've posted anything home or design-related — let's just say I've been in babyland. BUT, that doesn't mean the design wheels haven't been turning constantly in my head! I stumbled upon this beautiful beach house, designed by Munger Interiors, and wanted to PIN every picture immediately onto my pinterest board.

Such a cute guest room...and who would have thought three twin beds would fit in that small space?

It's rainy again here in Mobile, and we could definitely use a weekend away at the beach. This home is completely lovely and fresh looking...just in time for some spring inspiration!

Sorry I have been so MIA lately. I keep having these blog ideas as I feed or fall off to sleep, but they never get executed. We're having so much fun with Calder and soaking in every minute with her. Ahhh..no words can describe the sheer joy and unconditional love we have for this child.

Here are a few highlights from the past month or so...

Calder's amazing aunt and Godmother, Anna, came to visit from New York. We loved seeing her and Calder LOVED cuddling with her!

This is a good picture of our lives right now, and we're loving every minute. It's not easy juggling work and a two month old, but it does feel great to get back into the creative mode again. I have several projects I'm working on and can't wait to show you soon! That's it for now, and finding time to even post this was a miracle in and of itself!:)

Life with Calder: Weeks 2 & 3

Time has flown by, and I can't believe Calder will be three weeks tomorrow! She really has been such a wonderful baby and we are so thankful for every moment with her.

She is so alert and her big blue eyes make me melt.

We love to play, sing songs, ~~poop and pee~~, read books and have girl talk...

Bea still doesn't know what to think of Calder! It's been an adjustment not being the only baby in the house...

Her different faces and expressions crack me up...

SuSu left last Friday, and we definitely shed some tears over leaving each other. Mom was AMAZING and seeing her special bond with Calder was something I'll never forget. Calder's been an easy baby SO FAR (fingers crossed!) so I knew we could make it on our own, but it just tore her apart leaving Calder and the idea of living 5+ hours away is hard..

...BUT both of my parents are coming back in three weeks, so we can't spend too much time being sad. In the meantime, we send them lots of videos...

We've actually put on real clothes a few times to run errands around town...and getting out the door has a completely new meaning!

We ~~love~~ tolerate sponge baths...

...but it feels so good to be clean!

We've now discovered our hands, and I think we may have a thumb sucker on the way...

We love our long walks...

and cuddle time!

Life with Calder: Week 1

Wow. What a week this has been! There is so much to say and not enough time to say it. Or maybe I just can't find the words to express how FULL our hearts are right now.

Calder Lucile Binion

I absolutely love interior designer Barbara Westbrook's charming cottage office featured in this months Atlanta Homes. It's so clean and refreshing. Wouldn't you love to work in this beautiful space? Here's what Atlanta Homes had to say about it:

The designer’s signature style is evident throughout the five-room office, from the contrast between its low, bright-white ceilings and stained wood floors and door frames to the commanding presence of oversize antiques, such as the Belgian secretary in the cozy entry hall. My favorite invitation blog, Oh So Beautiful Paper, featured these invites as their favorite of 2011. I'd have to agree. They are pretty amazing! These were inspired by the woodland setting of their wedding venue, creating an incredibly cool laser cut invitation with pop-up cut out details!

From Christine: Our wedding will be in the woods on Ian’s parent’s home. From the first day of brainstorming, we both agreed that we wanted our wedding to take place amongst the trees. For the past few months we’ve spent nearly every weekend at the property, building and landscaping to make what we hope will be an incredibly beautiful wedding location.

We wanted the invitations to give our guests a sneak peek into our wedding, without revealing too much. We used a laser cutting machine to create a pop-up forest that surrounds the headline message on our invitations – Join Us in the Woods. The laser cut cover stock was then sewn to laser cut kraft paper for a cool multidimensional effect.

So beautiful and creative!

Oreo Truffles

All I can say about this recipe is Y-U-M.

I made these oreo truffles last Christmas for my co-workers, my husband's co-workers AND our neighborhood, and can't tell you how many times I was asked for the recipe. Have you tried them? If not, you absolutely must and I promise you'll be hooked.

So I decided to make it a tradition and do it again this year. It also doesn't hurt that I'm 9 1/2 months pregnant (yes, pregnancy is actually 10 months!), so I was craving them and saved a bunch of extras! This is dangerous because they are my weakness :) My parents are coming in town this week, so let's hope they're a few left for them to enjoy...

Orea Truffles:

- one package of oreos (remove 7 cookies, you can save these for later)
- 8 oz. of cream cheese
- package of almond bark

- Crush the oreos in a food processor until they are completely crushed into powder.
- Mix oreos and cream cheese in a large bowl (kitchenaid mixer works well for this)
- Form into 1" balls and place on wax paper
- I placed the wax paper on top of a cooling rack b/c it's much easier to move around the kitchen

- Melt almond bark in a microwave (I melted ours on the stove top)
- Drop balls one at a time into the melted bark and coat well. I used a kitchen spoon for that step.
- Place them back on the wax paper.
- You can crush the extra oreos and use as a topping. I love sprinkles so that's what I use! Then stick them in the fridge until they cool.

They're a little messy but totally worth it! ENJOY!

The Art of Gift Wrapping

There’s something so special about a beautifully wrapped gift. I grew up with a mother who made every wrapped gift a work of art — you would never get a gift from her with tacky little stick-on bows to go on top. She to this day uses the most beautiful paper and ribbon, and always adds an extra element on top, whether it be an ornament or simple clippings from outside. She has always thought outside the box, literally.

It's not that the paper or ribbon has to be the most expensive in the world. Sometimes my favorite wrapped gifts are simple and use natural materials you can find in your own backyard. For example, I love the example below wrapped in natural kraft paper with Christmas tree trimmings and pinecones secured by natural raffia ribbon.

Happy gift wrapping. The truth is anyone can do this, it just takes a little extra creativity to add some personality to your gift wrapping.

One of my favorite blogs, House of Turquoise, featured this incredible beach home located along the La Jolla coastline in California, filled with a beautiful blue and white color scheme, fabulous outdoor areas and breathtaking views. The master bedroom is simply amazing with the large windows and to-die-for views. Same goes for the outdoor areas, exactly what I want in my dream home!

The list includes some of my favorites (check out Hadley at #94. Ha!), but neither list includes our boy or girl name. We're keeping our girl name a surprise. And if we have a boy, well it's a given. He will be named Mack Bruner Binion V. They typically rotate between "Mack" and "Bruner." My husband is Bruner, so of course, our little man will be Mack.

Can't wait to find out what we're having! Ahhh! Only 4 weeks left!! I'm so excited I'm about to burst, literally!:)

I was also amazed by how unusual some of the names are. What are your favorite baby names? Please do tell.

After an incredible Thanksgiving break at home, I have to remind myself to be thankful in all things. It's so easy to focus on the holiday event itself (the delicious food, decorations, football games, you name it...) and forget about the actual act of giving thanks. We have SO much to be thankful for this year, and I need to thank God every minute of every day for ALL of the blessings He's showered on us.

Our Bible Study recently read One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. What a powerful, life-changing book. I highly recommend reading it, as it is truly a dare to LIVE FULLY right where you are.

I loved this entire article in the most recent Southern Living issue. Selenta Hayes Howard designed this beautiful beach home in WaterColor, Florida and I would absolutely LOVE to call this my home!

Don't you just love the Christmas decorations? We're decorating our tree tonight, and I can't wait to get out my shimmery glass ornaments!

I also fell in love with this custom banquette. Seleta made it out of faux-ostrich vinyl so it's mess-proof for the kids. What a great idea. Hmmm...trying to figure out where I can replicate this in my own home...

Happy Christmas decorating everyone! I can't wait to begin as soon the hubs gets home from work!:)

Our Nursery

The nursery is finally finished! I'm so happy with how it turned out, and now we are officially ready for Baby Binion! We didn't have to repaint the room, and I'm so glad we originally chose to paint this room Benjamin Moore's Celery Salt. It's perfect for a gender neutral nursery, and I love how the white looks against it.

I absolutely adore this handmade mobile. It adds so much to the room and aren't these little sheep adorable?

My major splurge item was the glider. I got it from Serena & Lily, and fell in love with it online. It's SO comfortable, and I know it's a chair I'll be spending a lot of time in. Also, I figured in the future, I'll love this chair in any room in the house!

I found the mirror and pair of white sconces at Stray Dog Designs in April, before I even knew I was pregnant. I bought them at their Flea Sale in Chattanooga, and couldn't pass up the deal. I'm so glad I did because they are perfect in the nursery! The green adds a pop of color to the room, and I love the playful designs.

The dresser is a family antique that we repainted. It was in my room as a child, as well as my moms.

We also bought these little birds at Stray Dog Design. I just couldn't resist! The little frog is from the handmade napkins at my baby shower. My sister-in-law sent them all the way from New York!

Now all we need is our baby!:) Just 6 more weeks left. Can't believe time has gone by so fast!

Enclosure Cards

Enclosure cards make great gifts! I made these for all of the hostesses for my baby showers. Mom and I had so much wrapping them, and we did it differently for each shower. We got these little jars at Revival in Chattanooga, and the cards fit perfectly in them!

And for my next shower, we had to be a little more creative since there were 14 of them! The cards looked like they were in a little nest and it turned out really cute. We got a little carried away with the photoshoot, and mom brought the little chair in that we found at an antique store recently. How cute is it??

Girls Night Out Event

Whew, what a week it has been! Last week I was busy with Junior League's Christmas Jubilee event. I was the Girl's Night Out Chair, which was an event on Friday night with a fashion show by Private Gallery, Makeup by J.Edward, drinks, hors d’oeuvres and door prizes. This ticketed event allows guests to shop and socialize in the private shopping event and raises money for Christmas Jubilee, JLM’s largest fundraiser.

We've been preparing for this event since May, so it was wonderful to see everything come together. The event was a great success and lots of fun!

My baby shower invites!

I have been busy with baby showers lately, and the fun part is, they were my baby showers!:) I wanted to share with you these adorable baby shower invites! Both were designed by close friends and amazing artists. My first shower was in Chattanooga (where I'm from), and was at the Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain. It was absolutely gorgeous and such a special day! It was so fun to celebrate Baby Binion with my best friends from high school!

Meredith Whitaker designed these precious invites. Check out her blog here — she lives in Atlanta and is a VERY talented graphic designer! My friends decided to include these cute little cards in the invitation that said "If I could give Hadley any Parenting advice it would be...", "My favorite thing about Hadley is..." and "The best advice my mother gave me was..." Guests were asked to fill them out and mail them or bring them to the shower. How cute of an idea is that? Then, the girls gave me this beautiful scrapbook filled with the note cards at the shower.

I will cherish this forever! Whenever I feel down or need a little advice, I have to remember to get this scrapbook out! I don't think I will have to look very far since it looks perfect on the dresser in the nursery!

My second shower was in Mobile at one of my best friends homes, Ashley Dukes! It was absolutely beautiful and again, SO SO special! I can't thank the hosts enough for such an amazing shower! The invites were designed by Sarah Otts, one of my best friends and an AMAZING artist and painter. You must check out her website (designed by yours truly)! She drew this drawing of me, and I think it turned out great!

I am SO blessed to have such wonderful friends. I love y'all and can't tell you how much this meant to me! Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.

I love Nancy Meyers’ films. Yes, they’re fun to watch, but I also can't help but enjoy her beautiful sets. I've blogged about her set, Something's Gotta Give, and today I'm covering The Holiday.

We watched The Holiday last night and it is one of my very favorite movies. Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Kate Winslet are some of my favorite actors. And yes, I want to live in Cameron Diaz's home! I like the mix of contemporary pieces mixed with antiques. Love the soft color palette, too.

Our New Guest Bath!

Last week, we updated our little guest bathroom. I can't believe I forgot to take a "before" picture, but let's just say it was AWFUL! We've been meaning to do this for two years, so finally I had Robert Shotlander (my incredible handyman!) help me renovate this little bathroom. We added beadboard and installed a new pedestal, toilet, light fixture and mirror.

I decided to go with Gray Wisp for the walls and Decorator White for the beadboard (both Benjamin Moore). I love the contrast and am so happy with our new bathroom!

In this months Atlanta Homes magazine, Designer Jimmy Stanton imbues a country residence with style and soul, creating a retreat that’s equally stimulating and restorative. I love the natural materials and neutral colors in this showhouse, and found myself tearing out the pages of the magazine for future inspiration. Thanks to Pinterest, I no longer have to do that, but I'm having a hard time parting with my binders!

I LOVE this kitchen! Here's what Atlanta Homes had to say about it:

DIY Tutorial: Rubber Stamp Edge Painted Save the Date Tags

I found this post on one of my favorite blogs, Oh So Beautiful Paper, and had to share this with you...

It’s the ladies of Antiquaria, back with another fabulous and creative DIY project for you! This week they’re here with instructions on how to create a rubber stamp save the date tag!
At Antiquaria, we love everything vintage!! In this save the date DIY, we were inspired by the look of old luggage and parcel tags. There is something very lovely and familiar about this tag shape but to have it professionally die cut can be quite costly. We emphasized the shape with “edge painting” using a very nifty and easy trick!!

Step One: Cut your kraft paper into a 4.5“x6” rectangle. Ink your save the date stamp (we used our “Ribbons and Banners” stamp) with your desired ink and make a print on your paper. Be sure to press evenly on a hard work surface. Let the ink dry overnight.

Step Two: Next, draw 1.5″ diagonal lines on the top corners of the save the date. Also draw a small dot in the center, about 3/4″ from the top. Once you have your markings in place, cut off the corners with a pair of scissors or an X-Acto knife & ruler. Punch a 1/8″ hole where you have placed the dot. Insert a small craft grommet and install using a grommet tool.

Step Three: Using the same or a coordinating ink color, drag edges smoothly through the pad to create the “edge painted” effect. Let dry overnight.

Step Four: Assemble the save the date. Tie twine or ribbon through the brad and add fun postage and calligraphy to bring it all together!!
Materials:
“Ribbons & Banners” Save the Date Stamp
Kraft Card Stock, cut into 4.5“x6” rectangles
Stamp Pad (we used navy)
Pencil
Scissors or X-acto & Self Healing Craft Mat
1/8″ Hole Punch
A6 Envelopes
Gray Striped Twine

Herb Day 2011

Last Saturday morning I went to "Herb Day" at the Mobile Botanical Gardens with my mother-in-law. We learned a lot about local herbs and got try some new recipes. I've posted before about our little herb garden, see here and here — and I'm always up for learning new things since I'm definitely not a pro!

The event had a great turnout and was sponsored by The Fresh Market, Regions, Bruno's, The Delicious Dietitian, Lowes, Winn Dixie and Panera.

The Gulf Coast Herb Society was in charge of the event and they made brown box lunches for everyone. Inside was a delicious Chicken Salad wrap, made with fresh herbs of course.

Both of these delicious dishes were made by Vikki Finch. She spoke about cooking with native herbs, and her husband Bill Finch also spoke about native herbs of North America. Both Vikki and Bill are regular contributors to the Press Register and very active with the Gulf Coast Herb Society.

After our productive Saturday morning, I went home to watch Ole Miss play Georgia...And even Bea was bored with the Rebs! :)

Sliding Doors

There's something so incredible about sliding doors, especially when they're the "real deal" and original, antique doors. I'm not sure where I can incorporate sliding doors in my home, but I want to figure out a space for them!

I've always admired this space featured in Cottage Living, and love the brown sliding doors below in this home office.

And while we're on the topic of shutters, I love using them as headboards as well!

As I sat down to blog this morning, I was having a major creative block. So I decided to go on a walk, and when I came back it dawned on me that I haven't shown you the piece I got from my Aunt's shop in Kennebunkport. It arrived a month ago and I have LOVED it! It's in our dining room and finally, I have a buffet I can serve food on!

My accessorizer (my mom) was in town last weekend and helped me spiff it up with white plates we've found in antique stores over the years. She also added some candle sticks, glass hurricanes and transferware to give it a little dimension.

I was inspired by these pictures and knew I wanted something clean and simple...

Also, check out this adorable frame my mom gave me! Isn't she so creative? She found the frame at an antique store and painted it, and then used this beautiful China Seas fabric as the matte. I absolutely love it and it adds so much color to our living room!

And finally, I'll leave you with these beautiful flowers my husband gave me for our 3 year anniversary. You know I'm hormonal when I literally wept when they were dropped off at the door. The delivery man didn't know what to do with me :)

Can't wait for many more years with such a wonderful husband and best friend! Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

My Favorite Baby Nurseries

I know this isn't "news" to many of you, but Pinterest is AWESOME! If you don't know about it, you must check it out! It's brilliant and one of those ideas I wish I thought of myself. You see, I have TONS of folders on my computer, categorized and stored away in an ideas folder, covering everything from "Living Room Ideas" to "Beautiful Art" to "Flower Arrangements" to "Baby Shower Invitations"...etc. etc. I constantly go to these folders for inspiration, but sometimes I can't remember where I found them and many get lost in the shuffle. So, Pinterest solves this problem! You can "Pin" anything you find online and then store it on one of your "boards." You can also browse your friends boards for inspiration, which is pretty cool.

So thanks Leighton for telling me about this a few months ago! So fun and helpful, and now I think I'm addicted...

White Kitchen Obsession!

Although I don't use it as often as I would like, yellow and gray will always be one of my favorite color combinations. Sarah from The Happy Envelope created these gorgeous wedding invitations for a destination wedding in Napa Valley. She paired elegant script and serif fonts with beautiful patterns for an overall design that is both laid back and sophisticated – and completely stunning.

The entire suite is wrapped in oyster gray twine paired with a neutral khaki envelope and hand-lettered black ink calligraphy.

From Sarah: This wedding is a Napa Valley destination event. The upbeat color palette of yellow, gray and taupe brings a sense of cheer to the whole suite. All pieces were letterpress printed on weighty conservation board — thick enough to allow for letterpress printing on both sides of the invitation. All pieces were printed in a warm putty gray on the front, with various patterns printed in warm yellow ink on the back of the invitation, the reply card, and the hangtag.

The bride wanted a laid-back, California feel but with an understated, simple aesthetic. The invitation itself is fairly understated on the front with a mixture of type and a light dotted line motif. The punch to this invitation is the bold pattern printing on the reverse side of select pieces.

Fresh from Nantucket

Since I still have Nantucket on my mind, I wanted to show you these fabulous waterside cottages in Nantucket. This picture-perfect home is by architects Brooks & Falatico with interior design by Lynn Morgan Design.

And this gorgeous Nantucket home was ALSO designed by Brooks & Falotico and Lynn Morgan Design, and was featured in Connecticut Cottages and Gardens. The wife's favorite color is turquoise, so the color was used liberally throughout the home.

And the Egyptian hand-blown glass chandelier below is similar to the one in Sarah Jessica Parker's Hamptons home. What a stunner!

Antiques on Nine

Okay, here's the final wrap-up of our trip to New England. As I've told you before, my aunt, Beverly Bangs, owns a fabulous 12,000 sq. ft. antique store in Kennebunkport, Maine, Antiques on Nine. It's full of American and European furniture, paintings, decorative items, architectural elements and garden accessories!

When you walk into the huge store, it's overwhelming because there is so much amazing stuff! I could seriously walk around her shop for an entire day, and still not see everything. Here are some pictures I took of her shop...

and it keeps going and going.....

Here's the adorable piece mom bought! It's from England and Beverly said it use to be part of a priest's altar. She also got the fabulous pair of green lamps!!

And finally...here's the piece I found. It's going to be delivered this weekend and I CANNOT wait! Like I've told you, since Antiques on Nine doesn't have a website, we've decided to barter! I'm designing her website, and in return, I got to pick out a piece of furniture. I really wanted a bar to go in our kitchen, and I found the perfect piece. Beverly bought it in England and I adore the detailed carving and the gray paint color!

Kennebunkport

The next part of our trip was visiting my aunt and uncle at their beautiful home in Kennebunkport, Maine. I haven't been to Kennebunkport since I was in high school, so it was wonderful to be back. Below is a picture of my their home, isn't it beautiful?! And just a block away from the beach!!

When we pulled up Beverly was preparing an amazing lobster meal...

Pictures never do any justice, but I tried to capture our amazing, candlelit lobster dinner on their beautiful screen porch. We had a blast, and sat there telling stories until after my bedtime :)

Here are some other shots of their beautiful home. They just renovated their kitchen — I love the subway tile and the antique butter sign over the sink. As I've told you before, Beverly owns Antiques on Nine, an amazing 12,000 sq. ft. store that I will blog about tomorrow....

and we even had lobster on the beach...

We had dinner at the Cape Rundel Inn on our last night, which happenned to be my dad's birthday. Such a wonderful memory!

Nantucket

I've decided to break our trip into several different posts since there's so much I want to share. So, let's start with the first part of trip, Nantucket. Above is a picture from our one hour ferry ride to the island...

We stayed at The Veranda House. It was amazing...from the three course breakfast overlooking the beautiful garden, to the chic, posh interior. I definitely recommend staying at this incredible Bed and Breakfast!

Below was "our table" every morning for the three course breakfast!

I absolutely LOOOVE Nantucket Island. It really is the epitome of chic, coastal living, and in my next life I want to own a summer home on the island! :)

Here's the three of us! Yes, I'm pregnant and have been waiting for the right time to announce this on my blog. I'm almost 17 weeks now, but here's a picture of our little one at 13 weeks. I love this picture. Look at he or she just chillin' in there! :)

Here's a picture of the four of us. We had a blast with my parents and it really was the perfect vacation!

Here we are inside the historic Jared Coffin House, enjoying drinks and appetizers at the Brick Bistro.

Next, we were off to The Pearl for dinner, which was voted New England's best restaurant in 2011. Honestly, probably the best restaurant I've ever been to in my life.

After many fabulous meals, beach trips, bike rides and long walks, we were sad to leave Nantucket but excited about our trip to Kennebunkport. Stay tuned as I blog about Maine tomorrow...

A Week in Maine

We're headed to Maine for a week and I can't wait!! A much needed vacation! My husband has never been, so my family is excited to show him two of our favorite places — Nantucket and Kennebunkport!

We're also calling it a business trip since we're visiting my aunt, Beverly Bangs, who owns a fabulous 10,000 sq. ft. antique store in Kennebunkport, Maine, Antiques on Nine. If you're ever in Kennebunkport, you must stop by! This store is amazing and Barbara Bush is regular :) It's full of American and European furniture, paintings, decorative items, architectural elements and garden accessories!

The beauty of it is that we're bartering — I'm designing her website, and in return, I get to pick out a piece of furniture. I really want a bar similar to this one that would be perfect in our kitchen. I found this piece on Molly Frey's website years ago, and found out later it is from Antiques on Nine! Can't wait to post pictures of our trip, and hopefully my antique treasure too!

Southeastern Salvage

My mom was in town this past weekend and we decided to drop by Southeastern Salvage. I couldn't believe all of the great deals. Here were some of our favorite finds!

Love these baskets! Great for toys or magazines or anything you need to store! They are huge in person and less than $30!!

Love these chairs! $179-$199 each

This table is way too big for my dining room, but if I had the space I'd be dying to get it. Looks just like Restoration Hardware!

I thought this stool was fun. I would possibly paint the legs white...

This console is great, and again, reminds me of Restoration Hardware but 1/3 the price!

Add a glass top to this console and it could serve many purposes and be very good looking!

They have many garden stools to choose from. I got mine from Southeastern Salvage last fall and it's white. I wish they still had those in stock...

This green is my favorite...

How cute are these little chairs and table? That would be adorable in a kids room! They come in several other bright colors too...

and I love their baskets!

This mirror is fun. Again, I think I would paint this white or gray...

Oxford

We went to Oxford this weekend for a wedding and it was so great to be back. It honestly was the perfect weekend! We stayed with one of my very best friends from college, Mary Allyn, and had a ball. I took two pictures the entire weekend, so these are some pics I found online to help me document our trip.

Since we rarely we get back to Oxford, we made sure we ate at our favorite restaurants! Friday night we went on a triple date with Mary Allyn, Stephen, Jordan and Taylor to 208. Here's the one picture I took of Bruner and me. Seven years ago (yes, it's been 7 years!) we had our first date at 208 when we were sophomores in college, and we sat at the table behind us in this pic!

Saturday morning, we got up early and walked around the campus and through the grove. Wow, how things have changed — but the campus and the grove are still as beautiful as ever!

Next, we were off to meet MAR, Stephen, J-bird and Taylor at the Big Bad Breakfast. One word to describe: YUM!

And the rest of the day was pretty perfect too...we shopped around the square, had drinks and apps at Proud Larry's and City Grocery, and went to a beautiful wedding for Ryan Walker and Chelsea Logan.

And we finished the trip off Sunday morning with a trip to Bottletree Bakery...

Thanks for such a great weekend Mar! Can't wait to get back to our favorite place on earth!
